Music With Conner Singh Vanderbeek: Mool Mantar And Naam Simran In Raag Malaar

Daily Sikh life is permeated with the sounds of the mool mantar (foundational verse of the faith) and reflective chants of the naam, or sacred essence of the divine encapsulated in name. In this performance, Conner Singh VanderBeek works through these sonic practices and the sounds of daily life that they, in turn, encounter. The result is a performance that asks: when we invoke the divine, what does the divine, in turn, hear?

Performance starts at 1:00pm and will take place in Simranpreet Anand's exhibition Living with the Eternal.
