About Secret Beaches
Standing tall among the giant trees of the Pacific Northwest are Matt Skillings and Lee Hutzulak, titans of the indie scene on the West Coast since the '90s. Matt is perhaps most widely known from his years in Run Chico Run and as a member of Lightning Dust, Himalayan Bear and Vanilla Bats, while Lee is the mastermind of Dixie's Death Pool and a seemingly endless list of side projects that includes Moth Mouth, Hot Towers, Zen Escalator, and Star System, a big band tribute to Sun Ra. Now operating in duo formation as Secret Beaches, their output is a laser-focused trajectory into a psychedelic world of electronic meditations in sound and rhythm.
