About Theremin Man
Theremin Man is a one man electro-rock experience centred around the theremin, synthesizer and growling vocals of Stephen Hamm. A legendary member of the Vancouver Music scene for over thirty years, Stephen continues a prolific, adventurous musical career and has become one of Canada’s most unforgettable and beloved performers. Stephen has played in bands like Slow, Canned Hamm and Nardwuar And The Evaporators. In recent years has shifted his focus to mastering the theremin, an early electronic instrument that one doesn’t touch but plays by interacting with magnetic fields around two antennae. Stephen has been thrilling audiences at clubs, and festivals with wildly creative shows, and has been taking them on a psychedlic musical journey into new abstract dimensions of sound! His new album Live From Planet Earth is available streaming now on Light Organ Records.
