Job Opportunity: Venue Rentals Manager

Located in the heart of The Shipyards on Vancouver’s North Shore, The Polygon Gallery operates a robust Venue Rentals program offering a stunning event venue for corporate gatherings, weddings, galas, and onsite filming, while providing essential revenue to the Gallery’s annual operations.
The organization now seeks a Venue Rentals Manager to join its team. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Corporate Partnerships, The Polygon Gallery’s Venue Rentals Manager is responsible for marketing and operating The Polygon’s Venue Rentals Program, and the revenue associated with it.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Market and sell the Gallery as a venue for third party events and filming.
- Plan and deliver all aspects of event rentals on behalf of the Gallery, working closely with all vendors involved.
- Manage the program’s annual budget and quarterly projections, with the support of Director of Sales.
- Work closely with the Operations team and the Curatorial Department when accepting and planning events to ensure seamless execution.
- Represent the Gallery’s venue rentals program with industry and community colleagues, at offsite and hosted events.
- Manage the Event Specialist (1 x permanent part-time staff person) and a team of Event Liaisons (6-8 casual part-time staff who execute events).
- Plan and execute an annual Industry Open House, each spring.
- Maintain current marketing materials, contracts, email templates and sales kits.
- Provide professional service in a timely manner to all inquiries.
- Maintain an updated contact list of industry vendors, planners, and marketing leads.
- Assist with the development of policies as they pertain to the event rentals program.
- Maintain a preferred vendor program with annual contract review.

This is a regular, full-time position with a flexible schedule of 40 hours/week, excluding statutory holidays.
Annual salary range is $75,000 – $85,000, and this position includes benefits.
