About Modes
MODES is a place for video art, the experimental, the avant-garde, and new interpretations of screen-based work. Concerned with play of form and prioritizing substance of content, while still embracing art for art’s sake, this series is intended as a disruption of norms and respectfully challenges the viewer to submit to the artist. Balancing representation of gender creative and minoritized voices, this year’s collection of work calls forward questions regarding the nature of our material world and what change looks like over time.
