Interior Infinite X House Of Rice

Related exhibition: Interior Infinite

Interior Infinite showcases artists who work through costume, make-up, and masquerade to more fully express their lived realities – which is the very essence of drag performance. To celebrate the connections between this exhibition and LGBTQIA2S+ communities, The Polygon Gallery is proud to be hosting Vancouver’s own all-Asian drag family, House of Rice, in a series of special performances as part of Interior Infinite.

House of Rice will be present on The Polygon Gallery’s balcony as well as on ground floor for an interactive performance. There is also a pop-up installation adjacent to the main exhibition, Interior Infinite.

About House of Rice

Founded by house mother Shay Dior, House of Rice is an acclaimed collective of queer Asian artists from diverse backgrounds. Merging contemporary queer culture with traditional references, House of Rice’s performances dismantle gender stereotypes while addressing the intersectional experiences of queer and Asian identities in Vancouver.

Featuring Skim, Maiden China, Kara Juku, Shay Dior, and others.
