Design + Make Pop-Up

The Polygon and Emily Carr University of Art + Design present Design + Make, a collaborative project between the Gallery and students of the Industrial Design program.

Please join on at the opening reception on Thursday, March 13 at 6:00pm.

In this course lead by Associate Professor Christian Blyt, students were tasked to design and make products, primarily made from wood, that fit comfortably in the homes of patrons and visitors of The Polygon who are known for their unique collection of handmade, local items.

Major themes of this project included concept development, strategizing and implementing small patch production, and developing a cohesive brand identity including the packaging. Using these skills, the design teams created marketing plans to guide them towards the sale of their final products.

All these limited series products will be available for purchase in a pop-up store at The Polygon from March 13-20.
