Presented in conjunction with Derya Akay’s Meydan, which highlights the art of craft techniques like weaving and drying plants: Kingphaka Chompooja of KCClay Flowers is a floral designer and clay flower artist specializing in intricate floral arrangements. As a highly-skilled expert in the delicate craft of clay flower art, she has taught and won awards for this contemporary technique popular in Thailand.
Join us for hands-on creation of your own Miniature Clay Fruit & Flower Art! Participants will be instructed in assembling and putting finishing touches on their own miniature sculpture, created using special clay and oil paint. Materials are provided and participants will take their finished creation home as a decorative magnet. Gallery admission is by donation. Appropriate for teenagers and adults. No prior crafting experience required. 15 people maximum per slot. RSVP required.
