Deckchair Cinema V: A League Of Their Own
Geena Davis, Tom Hanks. Madonna, Lori Petty and Rosie O’Donnell star in this major-league comedy, based on the true story of the pioneering women who blazed the trail for generations of athletes. As America's stock of athletic young men is depleted during World War II, a professional all-female baseball league springs up in the Midwest, funded by a publicity-hungry candy maker. Competitive sisters Dottie Hinson (Davis) and Kit Keller (Petty) spar with each other and grumpy has-been coach Jimmy Dugan (Hanks) on their way to fame.
