Saralee James's large oeuvre of photography, film, video, and sound work, produced over more than twenty-five years, ranges from backstage at a gay club in Vancouver, the 'edges' of wedding parties in Queen Elizabeth Park, wrestling matches, pool halls and other sites of "men at play", to a Guatemalan refugee camp in Chiapas, Mexico, an earthquake-torn Mexico City, revolution in Nicaragua, activism in the middle of the Arctic Ocean, and homeless in New York City. The work in this exhibition spans seventeen years.
