Judith Barry: Projections

Curated by: Helga Pakasaar

The exhibition presents two works by internationally renowned artist Judith Barry; Imagination, Dead Imagine and Model for Stage and Screen. The first is a video sculpture, initially serene, the disturing, and finally fascinating even beautiful, as a human face becomes a liquid landscape. Model for Stage and Screen is interactive and theatrical, as the viewer is led into a chamber of discs, light and fog that produce retinal and audio "hallucinations".

Supported by the Canada Council and the Vancouver Foundation.

A catalogue was published by Presentation House Gallery in conjunction with the exhibition. It was distributed in the USA by Distributed Art Publishers, New York.
