About the Kara-Kata Afrobeat Society of Canada
Kara-Kata Afrobeat Society of Canada is a not-for-profit organization. As a multicultural/ multiethnic group inclusive of all people, the Kara-Kata Afrobeat Band comprises talented members that span a full multicultural spectrum and each brings their own musical talent and comes from different musical background. The diverse talents and backgrounds knit neatly into a tapestry of musical universe that reflects the very character and tenor of the Afrobeat music genre, created by their inspiration, Fela Kuti. Kara-Kata creates community events to bring all people together to share and educate about African culture.
