The Polygon Gallery is proud to be hosting the regular program – Kids First Saturdays. Join us on the first Saturday of every month for hands-on creative activities. Visit the Gallery, explore the artworks, and participate in activities that lead to deeper engagement with art and creativity. As a regular Kids First visitor, you will always be greeted with new and exciting methods of creative play, encouraging experimentation with various media and materials.
Commenting on the local forestry industry, and the proximity to the shoreline, Samuel Roy Bois has created a site-responsive installation in The Polygon architectural space that welcomes you when you enter the building. In a similar fashion, we will be making hand-held sculptures this month, using different types of craft wood, popsicle sticks and wood veneers, as a way of exploring art-making in the third dimension.
Good to know
Kids 12 and under are required to bring a parent or caretaker to attend the program.
Activities are geared towards ages 6-12, however all are welcome to join and participate.
